(Trans: When Seagulls Cry)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umineko

Murder Mystery anime with a copious amount of characters far beyond it's predecessor "Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni".
The story takes place on Rokkenjima island, owned by the wealthy and somewhat demented family head, Kinzo, who is ill and is expected soon to pass. With this news relatively current, members of the wealthy family gather to await Kinzo's death and to inherit his "gold fortune" to satisfy their own personal issues. Although the origin of Kinzo's wealth is very shady, mystery revolving around "Beatrice, the golden witch" who is the supposed producer of said wealth, start to come to light. With a convenient typhoon hitting the island, the family and mansion employees become stranded, which workings of murder in involving Beatrice begin to take place.

To fully understand the workings of "Question and Answer Arcs", Ryukishi07's plot style, is best to watch "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni" first for clarity.
Many references are also present in "Umineko" regarding "Higurashi"

This anime is fairly new, released in July 2, 2009, with six episodes as of now in Japan. If you're interested by this certain genre of "Paranormal Murder Mystery" (ala Deathnote), then you will not be disappointed.

Most people tend to avoid it because of "Studio DEEN" producing it, but they seem to be doing a good job, they're infamous for cutting things short and/or not following the manga.
With this, I think they're learning what fans like.

Ehh... I should find a way to rewatch Higurashi. I've had nothing else to watch, and it's really been catching my interest again.
